  1. Introduction

We are committed to your trust in us and how we process your personal data. In this privacy statement, we therefore explain why we collect information about you, how we use this information and how we take your privacy into account.


  1. My account

If you have created a user account with Søster Swim, this is personal. You are responsible for taking precautions to ensure that others do not gain access to the account, including protecting your username and password. All offers you receive can only be used by you personally unless otherwise stated. If you share personal information and a picture with us, we will be able to use this in connection with the service.


  1. About personal data and regulations

Personal data is information and assessments that can be linked to an identifiable individual. This can be, for example, name, address, telephone number, purchase history, email address, IP address, responses to surveys and product choices.

All processing of personal data, such as collection, registration, storage and disclosure, is subject to specific rules, including the Personal Data Act. Søster Swim, through its general manager, is responsible for ensuring that the processing is carried out in accordance with the provisions of the Act. Contact information is provided at the bottom of this page. The Norwegian Data Protection Authority supervises compliance with the Act.


  1. What kind of information do we collect?

In order to provide the best possible services, we rely on collecting various types of information, including personal information about you. Below is an overview of how we typically collect personal information and what information this typically is. We do not collect sensitive information.

Information you provide to us: When you register as a user with us, you must provide some information that is stored by us, such as name, telephone number, address and email address. We will also store information when you contact us later, such as inquiries to the customer center. The information you provide may also be enriched using lookup services or social media that you give us access to.

Information we obtain through the use of our services: When you use our services, we record information about which services you use and how you use them. We collect information about:

Your device and internet connection: We record information about the device you use, such as the manufacturer of your mobile/PC, operating system and browser version. We also collect information about your connection to our services, such as IP addresses, network IDs, cookies, and unique identifiers.

Use of the services or purchases: We record information about your use of the services, purchases in the online store, or such as which pages you visit, and which functions you have used on our sites. We also store information about which products you purchase in our stores.

Location information: We record your geographic location when you use our services.

Information we receive from other sources: From time to time, we receive information from other sources such as partners and advertisers. For example, an advertiser may provide us with information about what happened after you clicked on an advertisement with us. We also receive so-called profiling information that can give us assumptions about which demographic groups you belong to and your preferences. As far as is practical, we try to do this with anonymous information, without the information being linked specifically to you.

By partners, we mean search providers such as Bisnode. There, your profile is collected and enriched with address and other assessments stored about you. You can change your consent to such automatic updating of information at any time.

Cookies and other content stored locally: When you use our services, cookies and other data are stored that can later be read by us. 

Automatic assessments: Through analysis of your behavior or responses, automatic categorization of you as a customer can be derived. This information is used to customize communication with you if you have given your consent to this.


  1. Sharing of information

In principle, we do not share personal information with other companies, with the exception of partners who need the information to be able to provide services to Søster Swim. If we disclose personal information, we enter into agreements with the relevant third parties that limit their ability to use the information.

We will also be able to disclose information in individual cases required by law, for example to public authorities if there is a suspicion of a violation of the law, or in the event of requests for access.


  1. Management of personal information

You can influence what personal information we have about you and how we use it. By contacting us via "contact" at the top right of the page.

If you discover errors in the information we have about you, you can change this yourself in the settings or by contacting us so that we can correct this.

  1. Deletion of personal data

You can contact us at any time if you wish to delete your stored personal data. We will also ensure that your personal data is deleted if you no longer have an active customer relationship with us.

 

  1. Especially about marketing via email and SMS

If you have an active customer or subscription relationship with us, we may send you marketing via email or other electronic communication methods. If, however, you do not have an active customer relationship, we will only send you such marketing if you have given us your consent to this. Your personal information may also be used to customize this communication. You can unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time easily and free of charge through the unsubscribe function in the emails/SMS.
